AUSTIN, TX — High End Systems noted that its new Shapeshifter fixtures, introduced at Prolight + Sound in Germany, have drawn interest in the U.S. The company shipped the first C1 and W1 units to customers throughout May. The fixtures are now being included in the rigs for several prominent U.S. touring artists including The Dave Matthews Band, pictured here (LD Fenton Williams, equipment supplied by TMS), Neon Trees (LD Matt Guminski, equipment supplied by Digital Sound Systems) and Guns N’ Roses (LD Greg Shipley, equipment supplied by DPS).

A ‘Richard Belliveau Concept’, ShapeShifter is an LED wash moving head featuring 126 LED’s, arrayed into seven independently controlled modules housed in one moving fixture with a beam angle of 10 degrees. Each independent module is capable of 36 degrees of X/Y movement, and the fixture features ultra fast pan and tilt. For quick programming, ShapeShifter offers more than 140 Module Macros with speed and crossfade controls, along with total control of every parameter. ShapeShifter also includes High End’s indigo LEDs that create a glowing effect, to add depth to the fixture and to help highlight movement.
