She has currently taken a hiatus from touring to get a law degree. Céline Royer is a name that you might not have heard of… yet. This lighting designer/director/programmer has been quickly building her career profile and reputation throughout the industry. Originally from France, Royer has been based out of Los Angeles for the past three years. She most recently was the lighting designer for Linkin Park’s One More Light tour, which was unfortunately cancelled following lead singer Chester Bennington’s death. Entertainment is certainly in Jason Rudolph’s DNA. As the fourth-generation member of the industry, he carries on his family’s rich legacy into new areas of technology. Having started out as a lighting programmer, his mix of projects these days is 95 percent visuals and media-based. He has a busy career as a screens programmer and producer as well as, at times, a video technical manager on massive live shows and televised events like the Oscars and the Super Bowl Halftime Show, music festivals, corporate events, and occasional concert tours and architectural installations.

Well-respected throughout the industry, lighting programmer Steven Garner’s credits range from theatre to fashion shows; corporate events to live television. He’s now working on The President Show for Comedy Central. Andrea Patterson (AJ) grew up in Northern Illinois, with an interest in theater. In her teens, she involved herself with the Kirk Players, a troupe from Mundelein that has now been involved in community theater for over 50 years. She acted as well as worked in every department involved in a production. She actually worked one paid gig before heading off to college for scenic design and production.

Scott Barnes, a lighting console programmer for motion pictures, recently took some time out of his busy production schedule to speak with PLSN about how he got started in the industry and some milestones of his career. So far, that career has included working on many of today’s biggest blockbuster films. In all, Barnes has been building a massive resume of work on more than 50 films. He has worked extensively on the Marvel franchise, starting with Iron Man and continuing through the currently filming of Avengers: Infinity Wars, Parts I and II.
