Nightclub Focus: The Oxford Social Club in San Diego’s Pendry Hotel

Carson Reed • Installations • November 9, 2017

Situated in the Pendry Hotel in the historic Gaslamp District of San Diego, where most of the establishments are sports bars or restaurants, the Oxford Social Club opened in February 2017. It rubs against the normal laid back, “flips flops and tank tops” beach crowd with a sophisticated lounge feel, as if you were turned back in time to the Roaring Twenties.

LED Fixtures Light a Classic Pipe Organ in Oak Ridge, Tennessee

Located in a thicketed valley at a bend in the Clinch River, the sparsely populated area that would become Oak Ridge, TN seemed like a spot that time had forgotten in 1941. That all changed one year later, though, when the U.S. government chose this location as a primary site for developing materials for the top-secret Manhattan Project during World War II.

The nightclub turned to Tirso Lighting for the upgrade.

Lumenpulse Sets a 19th-Century Structure Aglow using 21st-Century Technologies.

Lumenpulse, a specification-grade LED lighting solutions manufacturer, recently provided their Lumenbeam luminaires for the restoration project of the RJ Corman Railroad Bridge. Built in 1890, yet still structurally sound, the bridge, spanning the Cumberland River in downtown Clarksville, TN, was rusting and appeared dilapidated. A simple new coat of silver paint just would not do.
