    NEW YORK – Drape Kings participated recently in the sixth annual Charity: Water, Charity: Ball. The nonprofit organization Charity: Water raises donations to fund water projects in developing countries. The event at the Drill Hall of the 69th Regiment Armory featured various rooms outfitted with drapes and carpet for celebrity photos, for party space and VIP areas, as well as muslin to serve as a screen in the projection room.

    LOS ANGELES — Todd Morgan, one of the founders of Jan-Al Cases, died on Dec. 20, 2011 after a long illness. He was 59. Prior to joining Jan and Muffie Alejandro, Morgan had worked at Studio Instrument Rentals (where he met Jan) and at Almo/Irving, a music publishing firm.     MIAMI – Club Amnesia has undergone renovations and reopened recently in South Beach with 87 Chauvet fixtures positioned inside the multilevel club and outside on architectural elements. Michael Stone of HMS, Inc., which specializes in installations within the marine industry, spent five months on the installation. LD Maxime Moussier created the lighting design for the 26,000 sq. ft. club.

    NEW YORK - Times Square Lighting sheds some new light on a familiar Christmas holiday display. Literally.
    The red Christmas Balls on 6th Avenue across from Radio City Music Hall is a famous display that has gone unlit, until this year.  With help from Tom Brady of Knight Electrical, Jeff Kinsler of General Electric, and Times Square Lighting, "it's now a well-lit gem," says Rob Riccardelli, St., president of Times Square Lighting.
    The display is using 12 customized Times Square Lighting OD64M outdoor PARs configured with 150-watt PAR64 metal halide lamps in spot and flood beam patterns. Read More...

The display has transformed the garden grounds into a winter wonderland, designed in collaboration with CD+M Lighting and Design Group of Atlanta. The LED fixtures also incorporate integrated sound sensitivity, allowing the lights to sync along with the songs.
