Electrosonic Outfits European Parliament Visitors’ Center
PLSN Staff | Projection Connection News | May 3, 2012BRUSSELS, Belgium – The Parlamentarium, the new visitors’ center at the European Parliament in Brussels, uses interactive multimedia exhibits to take visitors on a journey through European politics. All signage and media is presented in 23 languages, which influenced the AV techniques used. Electrosonic engineered and installed the main exhibition AV hardware.

WorldStage Helps Intel Catch The Wave at CES 2012
PLSN Staff | Projection Connection News | April 30, 2012LAS VEGAS – With the theme “Connect to Life,” Intel’s booth at CES 2012 in Las Vegas featured a giant ecosystem of animated creatures whose interactions reflected the digital world in which Intel operates. Foghorn Creative created the live interactive display across “The Wave” with support from WorldStage. Visitors approached input stations where cameras scanned their hands or any other object, and seconds later they saw the scan generate an animated organism based on the scan outline. The organism, or creature, then became part of the intricate choreography of abstract creatures on the big screen.

Truck as Projection Screen? Freeman Creates Immersive Experience

Freeman delivered an exhibit that included a skin-wrapped truck and several screens. Using projection, the truck itself became a screen showcasing the vehicle’s many potential applications.

Stampede Helps Lumina Motion Create 3D Video Mapping Product Launch
PLSN Staff | Projection Connection News | April 25, 2012SANTIAGO, Chile — Stampede Presentation Products recently helped Lumina Motion’s AV team construct a stunning 10,000 sq. ft. video display for a product launch on the facade of a round building in Santiago, Chile. The 3D mapping projection setup included eight Christie DHD800 FULL HD projectors connected through Geffen’s HDTV DVI-D Fiber Optic Cables. Kramer Digital Switchers handled the video signal backup.

Space Center Launch Facility Chooses Projectiondesign
PLSN Staff | Projection Connection News | April 24, 2012DENVER – Norway’s projectiondesign has supplied its F35 wqxga projectors to a mission-critical facility responsible for space launches on behalf of the US government. The facility, near Denver, CO, is run by the United Launch Alliance (ULA), a joint venture between Lockheed Martin and The Boeing Company. The center is where engineers and staff oversee data required to complete successful launches and missions.

Projection Studio Attempts World Record at Buckingham Palace
PLSN Staff | Projection Connection News | April 20, 2012London, UK - The ‘Face Britain’ project, instigated by The Prince’s Foundation for Children & The Arts, attempts to break a world record for Largest Collaborative Artwork. This is the first time animated video portraits have decorated Buckingham Palace (running until Saturday, April 21, 8:30-11:30 pm.) The Projection Studio is behind the event. HM The Queen herself was the production supervisor of sorts, having to approve it every step of the way.

Dinosaur Hall Opens with Electrosonic Interactive Displays
PLSN Staff | Projection Connection News | April 19, 2012LOS ANGELES – The newly-opened Dinosaur Hall in the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County allows visitors to learn more about the prehistoric creatures using today’s technology. Electrosonic provided the audio-visual systems in the 14,000 sq. ft. display. The goal was to focus on the specimens in the exhibit, so the AV installation had to be subtle and non-intrusive.

‘Mind Meld’ Maps Hotel at Ultra Music Fest
PLSN Staff | Projection Connection News | April 4, 2012MIAMI - The Miami Intercontinental Hotel was transformed into a swirling mix of video projections during Miami’s ULTRA Music Festival March 23-25. Integrated Visions Productions teamed with technical producer SenovvA to produce the massive “Red Bull Mind Meld” video-mapping installation, which covered 29 floors (264 ft. high) of the hotel from sundown to midnight during the three nights of the fest.
