USITT Accepting Nominations Through Dec. 15 for Wally Russell Mentoring Award

CINCINNATI, OH — USITT is accepting nominations through Dec. 15 for the Wally Russell Mentoring Award, to be presented here at USITT 2015  in March. Russell, a Canadian LD and TD, had leadership roles at University of Toronto, the National Ballet, Strand Lighting USA, Theatre Projects Consultants and the Los Angeles Opera before his death in 1993. Thern Stage Equipment, Philips Strand Lighting, and the Wally Russell Foundation are the award’s sponsors.

The New York Festival of Light to Debut in Brooklyn Nov. 6-8, 2014

BROOKLYN, NY – For three nights, Brooklyn’s DUMBO district will light up with the inaugural New York Festival of Light, a new annual outdoor lighting event featuring a laser show presented by 2014 Parnelli Visionary award winner Howard Ungerleider. The free, open-to-the-public event is set to take place Nov. 6-8, and Elation Professional is one of the new event’s sponsors.
