NEW YORK, NY — The ESTA Foundation announced the 2009 Behind the Scenes Holiday Cards created by some industry LDs.  Four designs are offered this year by Douglas Schmidt, Beowulf Borritt, Andrew Hefter and Tim Hunter Design. Scenic designer Douglas Schmidt has created a stage waiting to be brought to life by dancing snowflakes. His colleague, Beowulf Boritt, challeges theatre fans to identify props from many of the shows he has designed.

Photographer Andrew Hefter is back for a third year with a card featuring the ghostlight as a beacon of hope against a brilliant night sky.  Tim Hunter Design uses a large canvas with the Behind the Scenes ghostlight to remind us that the holidays are the time to care for each other and for those less fortunate.

There are several ordering options. Those who meet the minimum order of 250 cards can personalize their cards with a company logo and a custom message. Packages of 10 cards are available with a standard greeting. The third option is an electronic version of any of the cards that can be sent via email in the form of a jpg, gif or pdf.

Orders for holiday cards will be taken until Sept. 30, 2009 and will be shipped to arrive in late November. All proceeds will benefit The ESTA Foundation’s Behind the Scenes program.
