NEW YORK — Lighting & Electronics is using a new program offered by the LDI show as a way to give back to the industry, and the company is issuing a challenge to all LDI exhibitors to follow suit. LDI is offering a small rebate to exhibitors for every client that registers, using the exhibitor’s unique code. The clients must attend the show in Orlando, Fla. from Nov. 20-22, and verify their attendance on site.
As part of its promotion, Lighting & Electronics has embarked on an PR campaign encouraging their customers to attend and they have also announced a plan to donate their rebate to Behind the Scenes.
Maryalyce Merritt of Lighting & Electronics said, “Too many of our colleagues are experiencing challenges to support themselves and their families. They have had to find more creative ways to pay the bills and provide for their basic needs.
“The L&E family has decided to take a proactive stand to help meet those needs. Many of these folks are the same ones who have shown us great loyalty and support over the years. We are honored to have these close associations with our industry family and it is our privilege to reciprocate both the support and good will that this close knit community affords one another.
“Lighting & Electronics, Inc. encourages all of our fellow LDI Exhibitors to rise to this challenge, seize this opportunity, and assist us in providing for our industry brothers and sisters in need.”
Lighting & Electronics makes and markets such products as Mini Strip, Broad Cyc and Tuff-Stuff, as well as offer custom fixtures and accessories. They will be at LDI booth #1327 and can also be visited at www.le-us.com.
Behind the Scenes is an initiative of The ESTA Foundation to provide industry members with financial support when they are seriously ill or injured. For more information about Behind the Scenes, to donate, or to apply for a grant, visit www.estafoundation.org/bts.htm .
Separately, Behind the Scenes will be holding its annual fundraising raffle at LDI with first prize a $7,500 vacation, at Booth #1343.
