NEW YORK, NY — The Lighting Design Group has announced that Trevor Gooch has joined its staff as a full time gaffer and production electrician. Gooch had previously worked as a freelance gaffer and electrician with LDG for such projects such as the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, the relight of the QVC Studios in Westchester, Penn. and the 2008 Election Plaza at Rockefeller Center. “We are very pleased to have the opportunity to bring someone with Trevor’s skills onto our staff,” said Mark London, vp of operations and systems at LDG. “His knowledge of lighting systems and technology will be a great asset to us and to our clients.”
Current LDG design projects include The Dr. Oz Show, The new Joy Behar and Amanpour shows for CNN and The Martha Stewart Show. Internationally LDG is working on the upcoming Vancouver Olympics for NBC as well as multiple projects in Abu Dhabi. Other notable recent projects include The Tyler Perry Show, this summer’s Good Morning America Summer Concert series in Central Park as well as an Emmy Nomination for The Late Show with David Letterman.
