LAS VEGAS – Celine Dion, who regularly filled the 4,000-capacity Colosseum at Caesars Palace for a five-year run for A New Day from 2003 to 2007, is set to return to Caesars in mid-March 2011 for another three-year run, this time with a full orchestra. But if the shows won't start for a while, Caesar's won't have to wait as long to see if the Canadian vocalist can still draw a crowd. Tickets were expected to go on sale Feb. 12, 2010 – more than a year in advance.
After Dion's departure, Caesars has used the Colosseum for Elton John's Red Piano, which closed in April 2009, Bette Midler's The Showgirl Must Go On, which closed Jan. 31, and Cher at the Colosseum, which continues.
