SEP Using Trailer-Mounted Daktronics DVX Displays

BROOKINGS, SD – Special Event Production (SEP), a Daktronics rental partner and communication technology provider for the event industry, has added two trailer-mounted video displays to their fleet. The trailers, equipped with Daktronics DVX LED video displays, have been used for several events already. "We currently own 10 Daktronics video displays," said Roger Garrison of SEP. "They (Daktronics) continue to supply us with quality products and unmatchable service and that shines through to our customers."

The two trailers, both with 16-foot-by-22-foot Daktronics DVX-20 displays, were used at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure and the Road America Bucyrus 200.

Garrison said the all-weather displays were well-suited to outdoor events, "cutting though sunlight as well as providing beautiful nighttime viewing – everyone gets a clear, up-close view of what they came to see."

Daktronics DVX modules are designed with encapsulated circuitry and sealed inputs and outputs to prevent water, dust and other debris from entering. Their louver design is geared to enhance contrast ratio while masking panel seams for better image quality.

"The DVX-20 picture quality really makes images pop," said Jay deBlonk, Daktronics product manager. "A new line of Nichia LEDs that provides for more vibrant colors across the entire viewing cone of the display – even at off angles," deBlonk added.
