NEW YORK – BSR E1.32 – 201x, Guide for the Inspection of Entertainment Industry Luminaires, is available for public review on the ESTA website through Oct. 25, 2010. The document is intended to provide guidance in the inspection of stage and studio luminaires used in the entertainment industry to evaluate their safety and any needed maintenance.
An employer could write his own safety inspection procedures from scratch as part of his duty to provide a safe workplace, but borrowing from or adopting the final version of this document might be easier and lead to a better set of procedures.
