MOGLIANO VENETO, Italy – Litec announced plans for a Trussing and Rigging seminar from Oct. 4-6 2010 at its facility here, near Venice. The company also announced plans for a CM Certified training class on the operation of CM Lodestar products. That class is set for Nov. 4-5, 2010. Eric Porter, an independent rigger and trainer who is also an adviser and committee member for PLASA National Rigging Certificate, will lead the Trussing and Rigging seminar Oct. 4-6.

- Lifting Principles – basic science, angled loads

The CM Certified training class Nov. 4-5 is geared for anyone dealing with CM Lodestar products on a regular basis. It will be targeted to the needs of both touring and in-house repair technicians. The class size is limited to 15 participants to ensure that participants get the most out of the course.
Dave Carmack, entertainment product trainer for Columbus McKinnon, who as taught CM hoist sessions around the world, is leading the class. Upon completion of the training, there will be a certification test.

- General Maintenance – brake, chain, contactors, limit switches, transformer, hooks
- In-depth Troubleshooting
- Complete teardown and inspection of a Prostar 500 and new Lodestar
