LOS ANGELES – LD Tom Kenny used Martin's LC Series LED panels, MAC 2000 Wash XB moving heads and Atomic 3000 strobes on this year's Teen Choice Awards show, which honored standouts in music, movies, sports, television, fashion and more – as voted by teens. The ceremony, held at the Gibson Amphitheatre and aired a day later on the Fox Network, featured animated looks to add to the show's youthful energy using Martin's LC Series LED panels for backdrop graphics.
"All in all, the clarity and color of the LC panels impressed us all and their ease to erect was fabulous," he noted. Martin's LC Series LED panels, introduced three years ago, were designed to be light in weight and to be used easily with industry standard truss, with no need for an external power supply.
"I was very happy with the Atomic strobes and 2000 Wash XBs," Kenny added. The set designer for the show was Steve Bass; the art director was Kristen Merlino; and the lighting vendor was VER of Nashville.
The show itself featured appearances by Sandra Bullock, David Beckham and the casts of "Glee" and "The Twilight Saga," plus performances by Katy Perry, Jason Derulo and Travie McCoy and Bruno.
