CHICAGO – Lava Event Lighting, a Chauvet dealer based in Manhattan, Ill., lit a Filter concert staged at 115 Bourbon Street on Chicago's south side to promote the band's latest album, The Trouble with Angels. Dean Faciana, co-owner of Lava Event Lighting, and Dan Davis, production manager for 115 Bourbon Street, co-designed the lighting for the show.  The rig included 54 fixtures from Chauvet.

The rig included 40 COLORado 1 wash lights mounted on the center and upstage hang as well as the sides of the stage. Four DMX MegaStrobe III lights were also used, hung from the bottom of the arched truss, while 10 COLORstrip wash lights served as truss warmers throughout.

"Dan was amazed how bright the COLORado 1 fixtures were, especially next to the 250-watt moving heads," said Faciana. "Their color saturation completely fit the aggressive nature of the band's music, too. I also like them for their color mixing and reliability."

The venue, billed as one of the largest entertainment complexes on the south side of Chicago, draws crowds with more than 40,000 square feet filled of attractions including a restaurant, a beer garden, sports bar, night club and performance hall.

Lava Event Lighting is owned and operated by brothers Dean and Jim Faciana. For over 20 years, they have provided lighting for concerts and corporate events in the greater Chicago area.
