CHICAGO – Reed Rigging recently acquired its first XLNT CyberHoist motion control system, including two InMotion3D control systems and eight XLNT CyberHoist CH500 half-ton intelligent chain hoist motors, for its rental inventory. "Motion control has become an increasingly important tool for artists, designers and producers," noted Michael Reed, president and founder of the company, which has designed, engineered, and installed overhead lifting and support equipment for the last 18 years.

Reed credited the XLNT CyberHoist for its combination of  "accuracy, intuitive operation, reliability and quietness." Reed Rigging CEO Steve Johns added that, after a two-year period of evaluating motion control systems being used on tour, the XLNT CyberHoist system came out on top.

Reed Rigging's Equipment Rentals division backs its rental inventory for touring and corporate clients with an ETCP-certified production staff. Reed Rigging's Permanent Installations group provides permanent rigging systems for theaters, schools, museums, and houses of worship.

XLNT CyberHoist's East Coast office opened in Manheim, PA in October 2010, and the company announced plains to open a West Coast support point in the Los Angeles area soon.
