VERS-PONT-DU-GARD, France – LumenRadio's CRMX RDM wireless lighting control system is playing a key role controlling the architectural lighting for Pont du Gard, an ancient Roman aqueduct bridge and UNESCO world heritage site in southern France. The tri-level aqueduct, built some 2,000 years ago, is seen by more than 1 million tourists per year and is the focal point of cultural activities, festivals and Son et Lumiéres. LumenRadio CRMX was chosen in part for its ability to be integrated with the controls for such events.
Claudette Viguier of Adreamlux provided the lighting design. The LumenRadio CRMX setup, provided by Texen and LumenRadio distributor AVAB Transtechnik, includes two transmitters, two repeaters, and 23 receivers from the CRMX Outdoor product line, along with a custom-engineered directional antenna system.
The wireless control system operates RDM-enabled LED fixtures located 40 meters above the river surface. CRMX SuperNova software provides remote management and real-time monitoring from a dedicated control room.
