ATLANTA – Tomcat participated in the 62nd Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC), the third year the truss company has been involved. During the event, Tomcat showcased its products, co-sponsored a design/tech mixer and donated two dance towers as giveaways. SETC offered more than 4,000 students and faculty the chance to see new products, attend workshops, participate in professional auditions, compete and apply for theatre jobs, listen to key speakers, watch performance festivals and join social events and networking activities.

"It was an honor to be part of SETC as this event is very relevant in encouraging the educational and creative process of university and college theatre," said Stefano Rosellini, general manager of Tomcat. "We believe in fostering the talent and creativity of the future generation of professionals and providing them with opportunities to network and join the industry."

Tomcat participated with a booth that was set up with the assistance of SETC interns where standard truss products such as Dance Tower were exhibited. Tomcat staff shared with the SETC attendees the applications of their products in the theater industry and provided examples of custom projects Tomcat has designed for customers in the industry.

During the event, Tomcat partnered with Vari-Lite to sponsor a design-tech mixer providing an opportunity for over 500 professionals, presenters, professors, commercial company representatives and students to meet, and network with each other and celebrate the start of the 62nd SETC Convention.

Tomcat also gave away two dance towers who were received by Chris Crawford, assistant professor of theatre on behalf of Shorter College in Rome, GA.
