HOLLYWOOD, CA — ETC is helping light the stages of the Hollywood Fringe Festival and taking center stage with its own show, the “Layers of Light” Selador LED lighting presentation, at Fringe Central, in the ArtWorks Theatre, 6569 Santa Monica Blvd., Hollywood, CA on Thursday, June 23.
Showtimes for the demos, which are open to the public but expected to be of particular interest to entertainment production people, are at 10 am, 11:30 am and 1 pm. Visitors can also drop by any time between 10 am and 3 pm — ETC West’s field-project coordinators David Hilton and Lowell Olcott will be on hand for demos, which will include new ETC Desire LED luminaires.
“Layers of Light” attendees will also have the chance to win an ETC Source Four PAR light fixture with lens kit; ETC will give away three Source Four PARs via random drawings during show times. Anyone who signs up for a MyETC account (via www.etcconnect.com) will be entered into the drawing. They must be present at one of the “Layers of Light” Fringe shows to win.
“Our participants and I are amazed at the diversity of lighting possibilities offered by these Selador LED instruments,” noted Dave McKeever, producing director of The Hollywood Fringe Festival, who voiced his appreciation for the company’s sponsorship. “Our partnership with ETC is truly making the Fringe a brighter place.”
ETC also noted that one of the Fringe artists, playwright Catherine Pelonero, is employed with the company. Her comedy, Another Effing Family Drama, is being performed June 11, 16, 18, 25, and 26 at Fringe Central.
Along with Selador and Source Four lines, ETC entertainment products also include the Eos and Congo lighting-control console lines, Sensor dimming systems, and ETC Rigging.
