“We rent our costumes and equipment to a variety of organizations,” noted ATC artistic director Tim Midyett. “We do business with schools, churches, theaters, convention centers—all types of organizations. Depending upon the nature of the production, the costumes can be very elaborate and, as a result, difficult to transport and protect. Our company has numerous Grundorf cases and the company’s custom design services make the process of getting properly designed and built transport cases quick and painless.”
Acquired in May, the new Grundorf Tour 8 cases resemble a closet on wheels and feature a removable side panel “lid” as opposed to a hinged lid. This ensures the contents of the case are both easy to remove and store.
“These cases are big enough to handle large costumes, yet small enough to fit into our company’s delivery vans,” Midyett explained. “Most importantly, they enable one to keep the costumes clean and safe during transport. The Grundorf design team did a really great job for us. The fact that the cases are available in various colors also helps us keep our company’s branding consistent.”
Midyett credited the new Tour 8 cases as “exactly as we had hoped for. They’re tough, yet easy to move around and built to deliver a long product life, which makes them a solid business investment.” He also called the Grundorf staff “very helpful and responsive.”
