LOS ANGELES — Epic Production Technologies named Thomas Folsom to its sales and integration team. Ted Doumazios, a longtime associate of Folsom, also joins Folsom and the Epic team. Folsom has two decades of experience in the professional lighting industry, including two years as head of the Strand Lighting division of Philips Electronics Group and six years as president of Electronics Diversified.
As an independent consultant to the County of Los Angeles, Folsom oversaw the design, development and renovation of the Mark Taper Forum – a $30 million, three-year renovation. He has also led other major projects in New York, Washington, Atlantic City, Houston, San Francisco, Argentina, Japan, China and Brazil.
Folsom earned his Master’s Degree in Theatre History and Lighting at the University of Nebraska and completed a specialty program in Management at the Duke University School of Business.
Folsom, who will work with Epic’s executive vice president Brian Konechny and vice president sales Larry Darling, will lead the company’s efforts to expand its sales and integration presence in the U.S. and international markets.
Doumazios began his career under the mentorship of the late Larry Kellermann and was most recently sales director with Lights Up Cue Sound. He will continue to work from the New York area.
