SANTIAGO, Chile — Teatro Municipal de Las Condes recently added Robe ColorSpot and ColorWash 700E AT moving lights to its rig, supplied via Valook, Robe’s Chilean distributor, in a deal coordinated by Leo Macaya.

The new lights made their debut in a production of the musical, Cabaret, with lighting designed by the theatre’s resident LD, Yury Canales, and operated by Osvaldo Aracena, who used an ETC Congo console.

Canales said the Robe fixtures got the nod for a number of reasons: color mixing, range of colors, beam angles and quiet operation. Canales also credited Valook’s Macaya for his expertise and helpfulness.

Pablo Villalabeitia, the theatre’s chief technician, also joined Macaya in crediting the fixtures for reliability.
