LOS ANGELES – 4Wall Los Angeles teamed with LD Robin Gray to provide lighting for Los Angeles Philharmonic’s “The Mahler Project” at the Shrine Auditorium. Gray chose a selection of gear to light the venue, several orchestras and chorus groups, including ETC Source Four Pars and Dimmer Racks along with VARI-LITE and Martin moving lights.

LOS ANGELES – 4Wall Los Angeles recently teamed with Lighting Designer Robin Gray of Academy Lighting Consultants to provide lighting for Los Angeles Philharmonic’s “The Mahler Project,” specifically the performance of Mahler’s Symphony No. 8 held a tthe Shrine Auditorium in February.
The Mahler Project is not a typical symphony performance. Symphony No. 8 featured conductor Gustavo Dudamel leading not just the LA Philharmonic, but also the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, the Los Angeles Master Chorale, and the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus as well.
To light the historic Shrine Auditorium venue for the night (as well as the many performers in play), Gray chose a fixture package from 4Wall LA. Included on her gear list were industry mainstays such as ETC Source Four Pars and Dimmer Racks coupled with VARI*LITE and Martin moving lights.
4Wall LA General Manager Jim Riendeau spoke of providing lighting for a symphony night at the Shrine. “We are always proud to provide lighting for a classic LA venue like Shrine Auditorium, and we were especially grateful to be associated with this great night for the arts.”
