NEW YORK – The North American Theatre Engineering and Architecture Conference (NATEAC) has been accepted into the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Continuing Education System (CES) Provider program. Architects will receive credit for any AIA/CES approved session they attend at NATEAC.

NATEAC Conference Director Bill Sapsis said, “The criteria for achieving AIA/CES approval is extremely stringent and we are happy to have been approved. All sessions receiving AIA/CES approval will be identified on the website and in the conference program to ensure that everyone who wishes to take advantage of this program can do so easily.”

“We’re excited by this development,” said NATEAC Production Manager and AIA/CES Coordinator Christy Havard. “The AIA/CES program supports the NATEAC mission statement and we believe this program will attract a wider range of architects to the conference.”

Performance space requirements are more complex than ever before. NATEAC will help facilitate design, construction and renovation processes of traditional and non-traditional theatres to the benefit of all who use them.

The NATEAC event takes place July 22-23 at the Mid-Town Hilton Hotel in New York City. Early registration closes April 1.
