ST. LOUIS, MO – Founded in 1937, Swank Audio Visuals is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. To commemorate the company’s rich legacy of providing full-service support and state-of-the-art technology for the hotel, resort, meeting and conference center industries, Swank is unveiling a yearlong celebration.

The Anniversary Celebration features a charitable giving campaign to be supported by Swank on a national level, along with giving on a local level throughout the nation and in Canada. The company will provide time, talent and treasure to numerous charities during 2012, with the largest donation going to Basket of Hope, Swank’s national charity for the campaign.

To be launched later this year, Swank will donate 50 cents to Basket of Hope for every “like” Swank receives on its Facebook page.

In addition to monetary contributions, Swank’s team members will collaborate with the Basket of Hope chapters around the country to assemble and deliver gift baskets to children diagnosed with cancer or other serious illnesses.

“Swank is proud to celebrate 75 years of creating memorable experiences for our customers and partner hotels, as well as being deeply involved in charitable activities in our local neighborhoods,” said Greg Diekemper, Swank President and CEO. “As part of our celebration, we want to recognize and give back to the many communities our teams serve, and we feel one way to accomplish this is by supporting a charity with a truly admirable mission and tremendous impact. That is why Swank has selected Basket of Hope as the national charity for our 75th Anniversary Charitable Giving Campaign.”

To capture important elements of Swank’s history, a video will be created, highlighting significant Company milestones, historic photos and tributes from key stakeholders.

“Swank Audio Visuals was founded before FM radio and 8-tracks, so we have an impressive legacy in a comparatively young industry,” said Diekemper. “Through our Anniversary Celebration, we want to honor our history, our committed team members, our customers and our partner hotels, all of whom are integral to our success.”
