SANTA ANNA, CA – In October 2012 California Stage & Lighting will celebrate its 30th Anniversary as a key supplier of theatrical stage lighting supplies, both sales and rentals, to the Southern California live entertainment industry. Founded by Mission Viejo residents Jim and Irene Hutton in 1982, they are proud of their strong relationships with the theatres, universities, high schools, churches and theme parks in Orange County and the surrounding areas, and appreciate their support throughout the years.
Along with day to day operations, the Huttons were among the group of founding members of the Theatrical Dealer’s Association, which is now PLASA. They both stay active in the theatrical community. Irene is a board member of the Lee Childress M.A.C.Y. organization and a judge at the RoleAbout Theatre Festival in Mission Viejo, while Jim has been asked to participate as a guest speaker at local colleges and has mentored many young theatre technicians.
“We attribute our success to our wonderful staff and their great customer service. We enjoy what we do and we strive to work within everyone’s budget to help them achieve their ultimate results,” Jim says.
