LOS ANGELES – The 48th Country Music Awards honored Hunter Hayes as 2012 “New Artist of the Year.” The American Country Awards also nominated him “New Artist of the Year,” while his song “Wanted” is nominated for New Artist Single of the Year and Music Video/New Artist. With pressure on to perform at his best, Hayes turned to the industry veterans at Chaos Visual Productions to enhance his turn on stage while opening for Carrie Underwood on the “Blown Away” tour.

Hayes has been playing guitar and writing since age 6. He is no stranger to the stage and having a clear picture of what he wanted to do, he relied on Chaos to provide a small custom lighting system designed by Nate Alves and comprised of a Clay Paky Alpha Spot HPE 300s, High End Systems Technospots, DL.3 and ShowPix; Coemar ParLite LEDs and a Thomas auto truss. Brian Carico is looking after the gear for Chaos as well as filling the position of lighting director.

Chaos CEO John Wiseman comments, “Being able to get in on the ground floor and work directly with an artist who actually knows not only what the lighting board and each light can do but has read the manuals and can program the show is pretty unique, in fact unheard of. Hunter has a vision of the future and we are so proud to be along to support this wild ride. It is also a pleasure to be working with Tour Manager Dan Wise and Production Manager Jeff Laughinghouse.”
