CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — K.C. Hooper, 57, a product specialist for Apollo Design Technology with more than 30 years of industry experience, died Dec. 12, 2012 after a battle with cancer. Hooper spent 22 years at Arizona State University as technical director and lighting director. He then moved onto Rosco Labs as an account executive. He was guest lecturer at numerous theatre, film production, and university conferences, wrote for several industry publications and made significant contributions in the area of product development.
“K.C. has always brought a gentle curiosity to our company and industry, willing to work on any project that needed done,” said Apollo president Joel Nichols. “He was someone we went to when looking at new products or what the industry was thinking. He touched and influenced so many around him with his supportive nature. His two loves were his family and our industry. He will be missed by so many.”
K.C. Hooper is survived by his wife, Jody, and three three sons, Kaulin, Kauner, and Kaury. A service was held Friday, Dec. 14 at 11 a.m. at the Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Funeral Home, 1985 South Taylor Road, Cleveland Heights, OH 44118.
