PERSHING COUNTY, NV – Art cars are a favorite feature of the annual Burning Man festival, and W-DMX made it possible for a series of art cars, bedazzled in light, to move through the festival with control coming from a moving stage. Ryan Tucknott of Walter Productions explained, “We transmitted the DMX signal and received it on all of our vehicles using 8db high-gain antennas. The system worked flawlessly last year with our four vehicles so we added to the fleet this year.”

BLACK ROCK, Nevada – W-DMX by Wireless Solution Sweden AB was recently a key player in the spectacle of Burning Man 2014, held in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert. W-DMX made it possible for a series of art cars, bedazzled in light, move through the festival with control coming from a moving stage.
Burning Man is an annual event and a thriving year-round culture. The event takes place the week leading up to and including Labor Day, and is dedicated to the spirit of community, art and self-reliance, culminating in a burning of a series of effigies as a spontaneous act of “radical self-expression”. It is a popular communal event full of unique entertainment.
Walter Productions, located in Phoenix, Arizona brought a parade of 5 oversized art cars plus their moving “Kalliope” main stage to Burning Man. The cars and stage were illuminated eye candy for spectators, which were all wirelessly synced with sound and lighting via W-DMX. Ryan Tucknott of Walter Productions explained, “We transmitted the DMX signal from Kalliope and received it on all of our vehicles using 8db high-gain antennas. The system worked flawlessly last year with our four vehicles so we added to the fleet this year.”
