Major Fire Hits Neg Earth Facility in London, Company Continues Operations

LONDON – A fire broke out at a large facility operated by Neg Earth Ltd. shortly after midnight on April 2. Close to 100 firefighters reportedly battled the blaze for hours, with 15 fire engines responding. No injuries were reported, but damage to the building, located in the Park Royal business district, and its contents was expected to be extensive, with fire ripping through the ground and first floors of the building along with the roof. In a statement, the company noted that it remains “operational” despite the damage.

Neg Earth, in business for more than 30 years, is a provider of lighting rental and rigging services in the U.K. and beyond, with recent tours including Robbie Williams, Ed Sheeran, Kasabian, The Killers, Queen + Adam Lambert, London Grammar and Ant and Dec, among others.

The company has also supported European legs of tours for artists including Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, OneRepublic and the Rolling Stones.
