SANTA CLARA, CA – WrestleMania 31, held at the new Levi’s Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers on March 29, was billed as the “Grandest Stage of Them All,” and WWE used the latest entertainment technology to produce its annual event including 62 XL and 42 SXL fixtures from Syncrolite.

Syncrolite has a long history with WWE and the WrestleMania event. This year Lighting Designer Jason Robinson chose to place 62 XL and 42 SXL fixtures in his rig. Programming the show for him was Troy Eckerman. Both are very familiar with the Syncrolite product and know well that the Syncrolite tag line – “the brightest lights for the biggest nights” – was most appropriate for this annual pinnacle of professional wrestling. TJ Benton was the Syncrolite Crew Chief responsible for ensuring that the 104 fixtures spread across the stadium functioned perfectly during the live pay-per-view show that was witnessed by the WWE’s largest audience ever.
Most of the Syncrolite SXL’s were mounted in the huge truss structure assembled above the ring to provide key lighting and visual effects for the wrestling ring. The XL’s surrounded the top of Levi’s Stadium providing additional lighting of the ring and backdrop visuals for when wrestlers entered and exited the stadium along the runway style main entrance to the ring.
