WARREN, RI – Creative Conners announces Royal Caribbean has installed their computerized automation control and custom hoists.

More details from Creative Conners (www.creativeconners.com):

Creative Conners was delighted that their computerized automation control and custom hoists were installed aboard Royal Caribbean’s ship, Allure of the Seas.

Working closely with Scenic Solutions and River City Scenic, Creative Conners designed and manufactured two custom, packaged hoists to automate a pair of linesets for the theatre on the Allure of the Seas.  To fit in the limited overhead space while still meeting performance demands, Creative Conners engineered a zero-fleet hoist with 500 lb capacity and maximum hauling speed of 36” per second.  Each hoist included three lift lines and over 40’ of travel.  To satisfy the aggressive production schedule, Creative Conners rapidly designed, engineered, manufactured, and delivered all equipment within six weeks.

In addition to the custom machinery, Creative Conners was also happy to provide a Spotline hoist to raise a chandelier in the venue.  All of the hoists were programmed with Spikemark software and Stagehand Pro motion controllers.  Creative Conners Product Engineer, Royal Marty, traveled to Spain to oversee the installation and commissioning of the hoists.  While abroad, Mr. Marty also spent time providing personalized training for the crew.

“We’re really excited to see Spikemark, Stagehand Pro, Spotline, and our custom machinery being adopted by the cruise line industry.  Spikemark’s industry-leading ease-of-use packs a powerful punch in performance venues of all shapes and sizes,” said Creative Conners president Gareth Conner.
