Martin Professional has a long history of developing optical solutions by its team of in-house optical engineers located at its Denmark headquarters. For Martin, creating the perfect lens system is all about making the right decisions and ensuring the right mix of output, size, weight, robustness, performance and cost. “A lens is not just the curved piece of glass or plastic at the front of a fixture; to an engineer a lens is a system that attempts to collect and display light in a specific way,” said Markus Klüsener, Product Manager for Stage Lighting, Martin Professional. “You have to make compromises and every decision may potentially cause distortion or chromatic aberration or affect color rendering, color temperature, color uniformity and other performance parameters. The system is known for its backlight, superior optical performance and the beautiful organic bubble design of the front lens.
MAC Quantum Profile
The MAC Quantum Profile is a LED-based profile light with a hard-edge lens system that simplifies the advanced lighting system of Martin’s award-winning MAC Viper family. The Quantum Profile contains a proprietary light engine to achieve maximum output and performance at the smallest possible footprint. The illumination part of the fixture also has a unique, patent-pending design with few optical components and fewer surfaces to attract dirt.
