RUSSIA – Big Screen Show recently announced the purchase of four Boreal V4 systems to add to its rental stock.

Big Screen Show – are a Russian group of companies providing AV services for concerts, exhibitions, presentations, sports and other large-scale events and shows. They aim to provide highly qualified specialists and the right equipment to meet the most demanding and discerning customers.
BSS is a Rental and Production company and a long-time supporter of Hippotizer Media Servers. The company have a large selection of Hippotizer V3 Media Servers and have used them on an array of projects and events.
Last month Big Screen Show purchased 4 x Boreal V4 systems. We asked Evgeny Marinichev owner at Big Screen Show why he decided to upgrade from his V3 systems to V4 and he said
“It is almost 3 years that we’re using V3 and it has recommended itself as a powerful and multifunctional server.
But power is never enough, and we need more outputs and higher resolutions from servers.
Another very important thing was “going out” from HD resolution, and new FlexRes codec help us with it.
That is why we decided to add bigger brothers into our Hippo family!”
The Boreal units have already been put to use on “RU TV” Music Awards and next lined up is the 2018 FIFA World Cup™ Preliminary Draw.
Evgeny is very happy with his Boreal V4 units and commented that his favourite and most used features of V4 are:
“It is nice to have more outputs from one server. And it is fine when you are able to Genlock all of them.
Also our favourite features are: “Media Manager”, “DMX component” and “Video mapper”.
