FRESNO, CA – Clint Higham, president of Morris Higham Management, and David Haskell, president of Morris Light and Sound of Nashville, helped Fresno, CA-based theatre company Good Company Players upgrade their lighting looks with new gear sourced via A.C.T Lighting: the new MA dot2 lighting console and two additional Clay Paky Mythos moving lights.

Thanks to the generous support of Clint Higham, president of Morris Higham Management, and the expertise of David Haskell, president of Morris Light and Sound of Nashville, Good Company Players has upgraded its lighting look. The Fresno theatre company is one of the very first to install the new MA dot2 lighting console as well as two additional Clay Paky Mythos moving lights, which came from A.C.T Lighting the exclusive distributor of MA and Clay Paky products in North America.
“Christmas came early for us and Santa Claus is Clint Higham, our Good Company Players Alum and generous supporter. The Morris elves are David Haskell and Matt Geasey, the installation expert,” said Dan Pessano, Managing Director of Good Company Players, “The MA dot2 just simplified our lives by giving ‘Go Button’ control to all of our Stage Managers and opened up incredible creative options for our designers. We have never looked better!”
The control console allows the lighting designer nearly unlimited looks and cueing options while simplifying the execution of cues by centralizing all control for the stage manager.
To ensure the proper installation and training of Good Company Players’ Lighting Designers and Stage Managers, Matt Geasey of Morris arrived Sunday, July 19th, for the strike of GCP’s production of OLIVER! and remained through opening night of ALL SHOOK UP. Lighting designers Brandi Martin and Evan Commins were given the basics “on the fly” and remarkably created light cues for the tech rehearsals and opening night of GCP’s latest production. It’s an eye-popping design! Evan and Brandi have coached Stage Manager Jim Brown on the “what ifs” and the first week of ALL SHOOK UP looked and sounded great.
As a sidebar, the installation happened to coincide with the Fresno concert of Morris’ premier production responsibility: Kenny Chesney. Morris president David Haskell and Clint Higham, Kenny Chesney’s manager as well as GCP Alum and benefactor, made time to look in on the installation of the new equipment. As David said, “We use the same equipment on the Kenny tour, just the very big brother times four. We use the very same moving lights, just 270 of them!”
From Fresno, Kenny’s next stop was the Rose Bowl to perform for a crowd of 65,000 – a bucket list concert venue for the award-winning country artist.
