“The Clay Paky Sharpy groups served as intelligent ACL bars in a way, but provided great eye- candy with their tight beam and high illumination output,” said Carter Harris, one of Bandit’s Crew Chiefs at LouFest.

For the midstage and upstage truss, Bandit provided VL 3000 Spots and VL 3500 Washes to give large beam looks, while Martin Atomic 3000 Strobes were utilized by all genres of acts, ranging from electronica to folk bands. Additionally, each truss had a minimum of four Thomas 8 Lite Moles staggered throughout the truss providing excellent audience lighting and dimmer chases.

“The downstage truss was a mixture of VL 3500 Spots and VL 3500 Washes,” said Harris. “The VL 3500 Spots shutter function allowed each lighting director to key light each member of a band while using the VL 3500 Washes for a nice stage wash.”

Bandit crew for the event included James “Rosie” Greenawalt, Carter Harris, Andrew Heid, Teresa Porterfield-Fensler, Aaron Walchli, Daniel Rehbein, Cody Stoltz, Shane Harrington and Hap Prater.
