LONDON – Business in the Community is a movement of businesses committed to continually improving their positive impact on society through corporate and social responsibility.  The charity, whose President is HRH Prince of Wales, have recently partnered with Accenture to launch a new report encouraging business to be part of creating an inclusive digital revolution. This report was launched as part of the AGM and Leadership Summit which was recently held at Central Hall Westminster.

More details from White Light (www.WhiteLight.Ltd.uk):

As the venue’s Production Service Partner, White Light provided the complete production support on the evening – which included a guest appearance from Prince Charles himself.

The AGM and Leadership Summit took place on 23rd November and brought together more than 350 senior leaders from businesses across the globe. Taking place within Central Hall’s Great Hall, there were speeches and debates about how digital transformation is changing business, society and the world of work.

Jonjo Glynn, WL’s Venue Director, comments: “This was a high-profile event with many distinguished guests so preparation was key. Prior to the evening, we held several meetings with the client at the venue and walked them through the set-up. It was important that the technical solutions we provided were bespoke and entirely suited to their needs”.

WL provided the lighting, audio and video support in the Great Hall, which included a PA system, plasma screens and state-of-the-art Christie projectors. Speakers on the evening included Sir Ian Cheshire (Chairman of Debenhams), Tosca Colangeli (UK & Ireland General Manager of Global Technology Services at IBM) and the HRH Prince of Wales, who encouraged attendees to “make sure that the digital revolution always has a human face”.  There was also the first formal speech given by the company’s new Chief Executive, Amanda Mackenzie OBE.

Alongside providing the production support, WL were also asked to film the entire event for the charity’s future reference – something that the company was also recently asked to do with the Emissions Gap Report and the European Space Agency ‘Space for Inspiration’ event.

Jonjo adds: “With any event, we discuss with the client exactly what they require and work hard to make this a reality.  Thankfully, at Central Hall Westminster, we not only have a stunning venue but also the very latest technology to ensure that every event achieves its potential – as seen with the Business in the Community Summit”.
