NEW YORK – A pair of oversized gun-shaped scenic elements and supporting truss toppled forward and on top of Marilyn Manson during his concert at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom on Sept. 30. Band and crew members quickly lifted the scenery off the performer, who was taken to a hospital on a stretcher. Reports noted that Manson’s shows that had been slated for Oct. 2 (Boston) through Oct. 14 (Houston) would be postponed and rescheduled at unspecified dates.
The Sept. 30 show was the third gig on Manson’s current North American tour leg in support of his 10th album, Heaven Upside Down, which had been slated for release Oct. 6, 2017.
Postponed shows include gigs that had been set for Oct. 2 show in Boston, Oct. 3 in Huntington, NY, Oct. 5 in Toronto, Oct. 8 in Columbus, OH, Oct. 10 in Chicago, Oct. 11 in Milwaukee and Oct. 14 in Houston.
The tour is expected to resume Oct. 17 in Tulsa, OK; follow by shows from Oct. 19 to Nov. 5 in Denver, Salt Lake City, Sacramento, Oakland, Las Vegas and San Bernardino, CA.
