SECAUCUS, NJ – BML-Blackbird Theatrical Services notified police about the theft of a Penske rental truck from its parking lot over the weekend. The truck was loaded with lighting gear intended for a series of shows in New York. A driver who arrived to take the truck into the city reported the loss to police. Surveillance video captured a car dropping off a suspect. That suspect managed to pick the lock and hotwire the vehicle in a matter of minutes.
More details from BML-Blackbird (www.bmlblackbird.com):
The BML team was able to assemble a similar package by switching to Vipers, Elation Chorus Lines, and Proton Strobes and consoles and get it out the door, making it to the load in enough time to not affect this evening’s performance. Special thanks to the Artists team (you know whom you are) for rolling with this and reprogramming, and the BML team for rising to the challenge. Secaucus police are investigating this matter and results, if successful, and perpetrators information will be published.
Gear stolen from them includes the following:
- Martin Quantum Profiles
- GLP X-Bars
- Solaris Flares
- GrandMA2 Lite
- GrandMA2 Command Wing
- Plus cabling, distro, etc.
