Sturm comes to the company with nearly two decades in live events and television, most recently serving as a Global Business Development Executive within VER’s entertainment division in the greater New York area.

Sturm’s experience in the touring and television industries will play a vital role in the future growth of Upstage Video’s touring division. She brings an extensive technical background and has worked on some of the biggest tours in the world including Rihanna, Jay Z, Kanye West, Kylie Minogue, Eric Clapton and Blink 182. “I’ve worked very closely with production managers and engineers to develop products and procedures to maximize efficiencies during load in and load out,” says Sturm. “I’m excited to deliver the highest quality services that reinforce Upstage Video as a market leader while bringing a new perspective to the company’s touring division.”
Sturm will be responsible for developing new relationships with production tour managers and strategic planning to expand Upstage Video’s touring division. “Cherie has demonstrated great leadership, energy and a broad track record in the touring and live events market,” says Doug Murray, President of Upstage Video. “It’s a unique opportunity to be able to add someone that has the rare combination of decades of real-world technical experience in addition to having a hyper-networking gene.
