LAS VEGAS – What could be better than creating an ultimate entertainment atmosphere for patrons to “walk on water” and dance the night away? The XS Nightclub at the Wynn in Las Vegas has just that: an expanded area to host concerts and performances thanks to its pool cover, provided by Staging Concepts.

This installation is just the latest pool cover project that showcases how hospitality locations have maximized their event spaces with Staging Concepts’ superior staging systems.
The XS Nightclub pool cover was custom designed to perfectly install into/over the outdoor pool to provide a smooth surface for performers and guests. To design the pool cover, Staging Concepts worked with Precision Display Services. Black polyvinyl was used for the platform sections to construct the surface of the pool cover, and custom tensiline guardrails were also supplied. Other surface options include black or gray HDPE and clear or transparent acrylic. Safety is always a priority for all Staging Concepts’ projects, and because of that, the pool covers use a variety of supports, including aluminum pipe legs and bracing and bridge support frames. All platforms were engineered to the appropriate live load to ensure performers and guests could enjoy the events with ease. This project was completed on a tight timeline to ensure it would be ready for the already booked performances at the XS Nightclub.
Previously at Wynn Las Vegas, Staging Concepts designed a custom and convenient pool cover that can quickly be set-up or taken down within two hours by four people – a great feature for the hotel so they can assemble/disassemble the platforms quickly and frequently. For instance, by day, the pool is available to hotel guests, and by night, the pool cover transforms into another nightclub space.
