GLENDALE, California (August 6, 2021)  Kinetic Lighting has wrapped “Thursday Night Lights”, the weekly in-person vendor showcase it hosted in July, and is now in the planning stages for continuing the series on a regular basis.

More details from Kinetic Lighting (https://kineticlighting.com):

The concept came about at a lunchtime barbecue Kinetic was hosting for clients. Kinetic’s Jennifer Skinner suggested the company parlay the success of the barbecue events into something bigger that could allow vendors, clients, and industry colleagues to connect.

All of the feedback we’ve received has been overwhelmingly positive and enthusiastic,” said Skinner. “It had been so long since any of us have connected in such a meaningful way. The social impact is huge.”

Equipment manufacturers and distributors from across the industry participated in what was the first return to an in-person showcase in the Los Angeles area. The event was held outdoors at Kinetic’s Glendale facility each Thursday evening in July. Attendees got to see colleagues and industry friends, network, and see new equipment, with Kinetic providing casual dinner and drinks. Wingwalker Brewing was a beverage sponsor.

Vendors rotated throughout the series and included A.C. Lighting, ADJ, Altman Lighting, ARRI, Astera/Inner Circle Distribution, Draco Broadcast, Chauvet DJ, Chauvet Professional, Clay Paky, Doug Fleenor Design, Elation Lighting, ETC, GLP, High End Systems, LEX Products, Martin Professional, Quasar Science, Robe, Rosco, SGM, Swisson, TMB, Tomcat USA (an Area Four Industries Company).

Also represented was IATSE Local 728 Young Worker’s Committee.

Given the enthusiastic response to the successful series, Kinetic has plans to extend the program. “Vendors and attendees have been asking me if we’d consider making it a regular thing,” said Kinetic co-owner James Schipper. “The answer is yes. We are planning for that.”
