Lightborne has announced the transfer of 100 percent of its ownership to senior executives Angie Fischer and Ryan McAllister effective March 1, 2025. Fischer and McAllister acquired the video content studio from CEO Tom Schiff and President Scott Durban. Fischer and McAllister will assume the roles of chief executive officer and chief creative officer, respectively.

Lightborne is a world-class studio that creates unforgettable visual experiences for live shows and themed entertainment along with dynamic commercial video content with sophisticated motion design and animation. Its clients range from Fortune 500 companies to themed entertainment venues and international touring live music shows including AJR, Audi, BLINK/Cincinnati USA Chamber of Commerce, BXP, Inc./Boston Properties, Billy Joel, Elanco, Imagine Dragons, Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields, Katy Perry, Kenny Chesney, Mindscape Creative, Missy Elliott, Panic! At The Disco, The Procter & Gamble Company, Riot Games, Shakira, and Zac Brown Band.

McAllister joined Lightborne in 2008 and has served as the firm’s Executive Creative Director since 2023. Fischer, who joined Lightborne as Chief Operating Officer in 2019, is assuming 51 percent ownership of the firm and will pursue a Women’s Business Enterprise certification.

“Lightborne has established a reputation for unforgettable visual content since its founding, and this succession is a natural transition for us to carry forward and roll out ‘Lightborne 2.0’” says Fischer. “Tom and Scott have created an enduring legacy in the industry, and Ryan and I are committed to advancing Lightborne’s core strengths of embracing new technology and building a team that will help us expand capabilities while staying nimble.”

“Our secret sauce is that we are an agile, wildly creative studio that can dissect complex work and push the craft as far as possible,” says McAllister. “It’s a thrill to do work that is seen by people literally around the globe in commercials for your favorite products or for some of the most popular live shows that we can’t disclose. The Lightborne team has the vision to deliver a wide array of projects from traditional advertising to arena-scale pop shows to the world’s largest projection mapped experience.”

Originally started in 1985 as a long-form video production company, Lightborne evolved into a studio known for captivating advertising, dynamic themed entertainment productions, and unforgettable visual experiences for live shows and theatre experiences. The production house boasts 25 full-time employees ranging from creative directors, producers, designers, animators, photographers, and editors. “We live in a time where we can be wizards – conjuring ideas and bringing them to life. We’re excited about the work underway at Lightborne and intend on delivering more creative alchemy,” says McAllister.
