LED Pars

Share this Post:

Ever since the first LED “PARs” came on the scene 15 years ago, the “Par” part has been a misnomer. Originally an acronym for “Parabolic Aluminized Reflector,” LED Pars, by contrast, just use LEDs mounted on a circuit board facing the opening of a fixture enclosure. With less amperage and more output lumens, the tungsten par is almost history. But one can still retain that classic PAR 64 look through Vari-Lite. Nowadays we have battery operated models, UV models, 6-in-1 color cells and so much more. Take a look at the 2020 Buyers Guide for LED Pars.
