“UR Experience Tour” Ushers In New Lighting Fixtures
LAS VEGAS — On Nov. 22, 2014, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Usher’s “UR Experience” tour was in the house, the very night that the 2014 Parnelli Awards were staged in an adjacent venue. Kevin M. Mitchell, who also serves as producer/writer for the Parnelli Awards, was understandably absent from the Usher concert in Las Vegas, but still managed to cover the tour for the Feb. 2015 issue of PLSN. A number of equipment manufacturers, including Elation, TMB and GLP, have also noted how the tour served as a visual springboard of sorts, for gear ranging from Elation’s Sniper to TMB’s Solaris Mozart and GLP’s impression X4 S LED fixtures.
