LOS ANGELES — The Lighting Design Group recently completed work on NBC Universal’s new studios here. The move completes NBC’s move from its West Alameda Avenue studios, in Burbank (once home to Johnny Carson, Jay Leno, Steve Allen, Jack Benny and Elvis Presley) to the Universal lot. LDG President Steve Brill and senior designer Brian McRae oversaw the project.

KNOXVILLE, TN — Blood: Water Mission, an organization that works to minimize the problems arising from both the spread of HIV/AIDS and lack of access to clean water in Africa, staged a musical benefit called “Hope in the Dark” at the Knoxville Convention Center here April 23. Allison Burchett, Bandit Lites’ Director of Philanthropy, worked with the charity to provide lighting for the event, which raised more than $220,000.

ORLANDO – Christie Lites announced plans to open a Chicago office in fall 2014. The move in Chicago follows the company’s recent expansion to a new location in Las Vegas this year, the launch of Christie Lites New York (in Fairview, NJ) and Winnipeg, Canada in 2013 and the launch of the company’s Nashville location in 2012. The new full-service 50,000 square foot warehouse location near Chicago is slated to open in Woodridge, IL. More details will be announced as they develop in late summer 2014.
