NEW DELHI, India — For this year’s Chaman Lal Memorial Awards, held April 10 at the Kamani Audutorium in New Delhi’s Mandy House district to honor the memory of stage lighting pioneer Sh. Chaman Lal, Modern Stage Service provided gear to support a a multi-media light, sound and dance drama that followed the awards presentation. The rig included D.T.S. Raptor beam moving heads and NRG 1201 LED moving heads from D.T.S. Lighting.

BURBANK, CA — Christie created an outdoor movie theater of sorts for a fundraiser staged by the Lollipop Theater Network on behalf of children fighting chronic illnesses or life threatening diseases. The fundraising event, “A Night Under the Stars,” was set for April 26 at the Nickelodeon Animation Studio lot here. Along with members of its managed services team, who assisted with the event, Christie provided its CP4220 projector for the screening of the animated film, Rio 2.

Guitar Center Rooftop Gigs at SXSW Lit with Robe Pointes
AUSTIN, TX — LD Victor Fable used Robe Robin Pointe fixtures provided by Felix Lighting of La Mirada, CA for the rooftop Guitar Center Sessions at the 2014 South by Southwest (SXSW) music conference, which took place at multiple venues here in March. The GC series included live performances by Soundgarden, Snoop Dogg, Damon Albarn, Phantogram, The Wild Feathers and others. The concerts were taped for broadcast; the performances will air on the Audience Channel in May.
