Read More »FINLAND – Mojo Barriers kept the crowds safe with its second generation barrier system at the first ‘Rock the Beach’ festival, held June 26-29 on Finland’s Hietaniemi Beach. More than 51,000 people enjoyed the inaugural event, with headliners Green Day, Queens of the Stone Age, 30 Seconds to Mars and Rammstein. Mojo Barriers’ Finnish distributor Roudaamo Event Warehouse installed more than 300m (984 ft) of black aluminum barrier configured across three stages.

Read More »ISTANBUL, Turkey – Istanbul-based event engineering company Phantom has supplied a team of Clay Paky Alpha, A.Leda, and Sharpy fixtures to light the 2013 Mediterranean Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies. Eighteen months of preparation culminated in the June 20 Opening Ceremony of the 17th Mediterranean Games in Mersin, Turkey. LD Jean-François Bonnement from Paris-based visual arts company Concept K specified more than 400 Clay Paky fixtures in his design.
Read More »TRING, UK – The first music festival to be promoted by an industry technical production company – Chilfest by Universal Event Productions (UEP) – was declared a success. UEP’s Steve Butcher – who came up with the idea to celebrate the company’s 15th birthday – was “completely blown away” with the response and the outcome. They supplied sound, lighting and video equipment and design for the two-day show.

That changed this spring when the 4Wall Systems team added lighting to the signs to transform the Boneyard into a space fitting of its Vegas nightlife heritage.

The June 8 celebration marked a founding member’s birthday – and the first event held outdoors on the main patio at the new facility. The Dallas-based concert and special events production company provided lighting and sound design, with a nature-themed projection mapping and animation as the event highlight.
