ESA Sets Feedback Deadline for Event Safety Guide

MONROVIA, CA — The Event Safety Alliance is a not-for-profit organization committed to advancing the cause of safety within the event industry. The ESA is currently writing its Event Safety Guide, a draft of which is downloadable on the website for public review. The commenting period on the draft version of this guide will be closing soon. All industry professionals are invited to download a copy of the Guide and submit comments for review by Aug. 5, 2013.

“Country Cares Concert” Raises $476,000 for AZ Firefighter Families

PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ — Dierks Bentley, The Band Perry and other artists teamed up and raised a reported $476,000 with the “Country Cares Concert,” a benefit performance that took place here on July 22.  All proceeds are going to the United Phoenix Firefighters, for direct distribution to surviving family members of the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots from the Prescott Fire Department who lost their lives fighting a wildfire near here on June 30, 2013.

Lighting Pros Nominated for Creative Arts Emmy Awards

LOS ANGELES – The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the list of nominees for this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards at a July 18 ceremony held at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in the NoHo Arts District here on July 18. The 65th Primetime Emmy Awards will air live from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 8pm EDT/5pm PDT on CBS.
