Read More »LONDON – Avolites Media’s Ai server has been powering the fast-paced visuals for Sky TV’s spring series of “Got to Dance.” With the help of Ai, the visual team was able to see the entire TV studio as one giant canvas, using Ai’s ability to scale the outputs to compensate for the varying pixel pitches of the different LED fixtures. Ai is equipped to play back to video canvasses up to 8x HD1080 and this was a significant benefit to the production.

Then this spring, the Forum’s chief electrician decided to purchase a Ti – becoming one of the first venues in the world to install the new desk. Their original Eos desk – still well loved – was transferred for use in the Ahmanson Theatre, another venue in the Center Theatre Group.

Restoration work has turned on the light again – but instead of the complicated original 24-volt mechanism, there is a new Clay Paky Sharpy inside the lantern room, which is not only able to reproduce the brightness of the old lighthouse, but also its perfect movement.

Read More »ATHENS, GA – Bandit Lites had the privilege of being the first to light a concert at the University of Georgia’s Sanford Stadium, where Jason Aldean played to more than 60,000 people. The 90-minute set was filmed for a DVD release, requiring additional lighting to his concert rig, including 88 Sharpys, 20 Syncrolite fixtures, 34 x VL 3500 washes, 20 MAC Auras and 24 Bandit 5x5s.
